October is Gaucher Awareness month and I was honored to be selected as a member of the National Gaucher Foundation’s (NGF) first-ever ambassador program. As ambassadors, our first task was to promote the NGF Patient Meeting on October 27th. I traveled to New York for the Patient Conference and even spoke to a small group of teens about what it was like to be diagnosed as a young adult.
It was an amazing experience to meet other Gaucher patients and NGF staff in person for the first time. I am looking forward to continuing my work as an ambassador for the NGF and working closely with the foundation.
